Every Thursday at : Bar Place, Hebden Bridge Live jam session. All musicians welcome. They have their own PA but not always a drum kit. Guitars, vocals and bass all go through the PA which isn't ideal. The sound can sometimes be hit or miss but the people are friendly and there's a good atmosphere. It normally gets pretty packed out. All kinds of music are accepted so don't be nervous about getting up and having a go. The guys who run it are friendly and if there is a spare spot they will put you on. If it's busy you will get 2-3 songs. If it's not busy you could get between 6 and 10 depending on how good you are! Every Thursday at: Todmorden Conservative Club We've encountered a few people who get put off by the name but don't worry, it's not your average Conservative Club. It's a very friendly place, the landlords are great, extremely welcoming and open. The drinks are pretty cheap too (a round of 3 pints costing just over a fiver). Every Thursday they have an open jam session for musicians. There is a regular drummer there and a PA. People bring their own amps. Anyone can get up and although it doesn't get very busy this actually makes it an ideal place to showcase new songs and get used to performing if you're a bit on the shy side.
